Traditionally, after the Easter holidays, border guards record an increase in the flow of people and vehicles at checkpoints on the border with Poland.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
The latest data on crossing operations indicate a gradual increase in the number of people crossing the border in the direction of exit from Ukraine.
In particular, in recent days, the number of people and vehicles crossing into the neighbouring state every day has been around 20,000 and over 4,000.
To cross the border by car and bus, travellers most often choose Shehyni checkpoint, with slightly lesser dynamics at Krakivtsi and Rava-Ruska. In this regard, there is an accumulation of vehicles in front of these checkpoints.
As a reminder, there are six checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border within the Lviv region that operate around the clock for road traffic. The lowest passenger traffic is observed at Smilnytsia, Hrushev, and Uhryniv. To reduce waiting time in queues, we recommend that citizens choose these checkpoints to cross the border.
The current situation with the queues can be tracked on the official resources of the State Border Guard Service, in particular on the Western Regional Directorate’s Facebook page, where the data is updated every three hours.
