On May 27, at 2:18 p.m., rescuers received a report that a man had been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Skole Central Hospital with a diagnosis of snake bite in his right hand. The victim is a man born in 1974, a resident of the village. Slavske of the Stryi district.
The victim’s condition is moderate.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast warns residents of the oblast to be careful and attentive when going to the forest or nature. If you accidentally see a reptile next to you – do not panic, do not approach and do not make sudden movements, and calmly move away.
Reptiles have poor eyesight and hearing, but their bodies are very good at capturing the vibrations of the earth at a distance of 10-15 meters. Be careful where you can meet reptiles: tall grass, bushes, forest.
When going to the forest, it is better to wear high, thick shoes that the snake will not bite.
