Today in Lviv, in Zamarstynivsky Park, a network of wellness paths – Terenkurs was presented. Thus, four routes are laid by the territory of the park, which provide three levels of complexity and differ in length, relief and inclination. The total length of the terrain is almost 6.7 km. The emergence of the trails should encourage residents to live and responsible for their health, as well as help people with various diseases in rehabilitation.
In December 2022, the first stage of creating a wellness trail in Zamarstynivsky Park ended – a sign of a network of routes. In particular, as noted in the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of LMR, 5 information stands with the map and information were installed, as well as 53 navigation columns.
The next stage is the arrangement of the coverage, the organization of recreation and training both for rehabilitation and for overall health promotion.
“In the future, the Department of Architecture and Urbanism will predict how to refine the tracks so that they can be passed in different weather. We will think together how to make the cover a little firmer but natural. We also consider creating a sensory garden. The garden of fragrant herbs, cereals and trees of different species, including conifers, is a great idea for rehabilitation, ”said Oksana Lutsk, Deputy Head of Ecology and Natural Resources Department.
The Terenkura Zamarstynivsky Park corresponds to the overall theme of the park and is “Hetman”. Each route is named after the hetmans of Ukraine, whose names are also found in the toponymic names of the area: I. Mazepa, P. Orlyk, B. Khmelnitsky and P. Sahaidachny. On routes you can also find “Hetman’s oaks”.
By the way, doctors and rehabilitation professionals joined the creation of wellness trails.
“Terenkura is both rehabilitation, recovery, and prevention. First of all, our main purpose is to prevent disease.
As part of the project, Ukrainians will have the opportunity to treat and recover, and wellness trails near the hospital will be able to help patients in rehab, ”said Andrey Bazilevich, Professor of Medical Sciences.
In the future, the possibility of arranging terrain will be considered in other parks of Lviv MTG.
Recall that Terenkur is called a special treatment technique, which is based on hiking, lifting and descents on hilly terrain on special routes. In this case, the human body receives a metered load, which promotes the development of endurance, improvement of the cardiovascular, respiratory system and other organs.
In 2020, Terenkura was also presented in the Demolition Park.
