
Lviv Region Makes Important Decisions for Ukraine on Europe Day
On Europe Day, Lviv Region became the venue for making historic decisions. As reported by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, the region hosted over 40 delegations from EU countries and other states that participated in events supporting Ukraine.
Tribunal for Kremlin Criminals
In Lviv, a key meeting of the War Crimes Group coalition took place, working on the creation of a special tribunal for the top leadership of Russia for crimes against humanity. It is to be established in The Hague under the auspices of the Council of Europe.
\”Putin and his accomplices will face a tribunal. And this is the most important thing to know about the decisions our international partners made today in Lviv Region,\” stressed the head of the region.
Financial Aid and Sanctions
According to him, there are also other critically important news for our state:
- The EU announced its intention to provide nearly 1.9 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine, including:
- 1 billion euros for the purchase of weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers under the \”Danish model\”;
- over 600 million euros for artillery and ammunition;
- over 200 million euros for air defense.
- A new SAFE mechanism is expected to launch, allowing Ukraine to join joint defense product procurement with EU member countries.
- A rapid adoption of the 17th sanctions package against Russia is anticipated.
- Steps towards accelerating Ukraine’s accession to the European Union were discussed during an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers.
