The traffic accident occurred on September 8 at around 5:30 p.m. on the Eastern approach road to the city of Lviv
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the VAZ 2104 car, a 22-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where he collided with an Opel Vivaro car driven by a 45-year-old resident of another village.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the “four”, as well as his passenger, a 31-year-old resident of the Lviv district, received injuries of varying degrees of severity and were hospitalized.
It was also established that the driver of “VAZ” was driving the vehicle in a state of alcohol intoxication – 1.16 ppm was found in his blood.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
