Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Mykolaiv Department of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against the 32-year-old doctor of the Novorozdil City Hospital for improper performance of professional duties (Part 1, Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in the summer of 2020, an elderly woman from Novy Rozdol sought an appointment with this medical worker. She said that she fell from the second floor of an apartment building and needed medical help.
The doctor did not fully examine the patient, did not make an appropriate diagnosis and sent the patient home. In a short time, her well-being worsened, the woman was hospitalized, but it was not possible to save her life.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of VP No. 2 of the Stryi RUP of the GU of the NP in the Lviv region.
According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
