In the Drohobych district, an orthopedist-traumatologist from a medical institution was detained on suspicion of corrupt activities. According to the prosecutor’s office, the doctor deceitfully tried to assist a citizen in obtaining medical documents that could allow them to avoid military service during the national mobilization.
The mentioned specialist offered his services for 2,000 US dollars, in the meantime guaranteeing a false diagnosis of a disease due to a ‘favorable’ verdict from other doctors. The criminal intervention was stopped by law enforcement at the stage of receiving half of the amount.
