Under the supervision of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office, a 61-year-old local resident was served a notice of suspicion. She is charged with illegal sowing and cultivation of cannabis (Part 2 of Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in mid-April this year, the suspect illegally sowed and cultivated cannabis plants on her personal plot in Khodoriv.
During an authorised search of the land plot belonging to the suspect, 67 cannabis plants were found and seized.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the Stryi District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the operational support is provided by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Stryi District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: In accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
