Under the procedural supervision of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, two local residents were exposed and served a notice of suspicion of purchasing, storing with intent to sell and selling drugs (Part 1, 2 Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the 32-year-old and 37-year-old men set up a drug sale in Drohobych. These were drug-containing Subitex tablets containing the narcotic substance buprenorphine.
The suspects accepted orders via the Telegram messenger. During the meeting, they sold the drugs directly “from hand to hand”, while the drug addicts made payments for the “goods”.
During the searches, 210 Subitex tablets and a white powdery substance were found and seized.
The court imposed on the suspects custody as a measure of restraint with the right to be released on bail.
Investigative actions are ongoing, all involved persons are being identified.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
