On January 22 in the evening, a road accident occurred on Lvivska Street in the city of Velyki Mosty, Sheptytskyi district. A 19-year-old driver of a Musstang MT250 motorcycle, a resident of a nearby village, collided with a 71-year-old pedestrian, also from this district.
Both participants in the accident sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. In connection with this incident, the No. 2 division of the Sheptytskyi district police has opened a criminal proceeding under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, concerning violations of traffic safety rules.
An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently ongoing, and the maximum penalty for this violation can reach up to three years of restriction of liberty with a suspension of driving rights for the same period.
