As the law enforcement officers established, an employee of one of the military commissariats of the region, together with a married couple from Lviv, provided conscripts with documents on unfitness for military service in order to avoid mobilization due to health conditions, with subsequent removal from military registration and the possibility of going abroad. The attackers demanded $5,000 for their services.
A 23-year-old resident of Zolochiv district, as well as a 56-year-old husband and wife, were detained near Lviv by law enforcement officers while they were receiving an illegal reward.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 3 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed, the indictment has been sent to court.
The accused is punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years with confiscation of property.
