The traffic accident occurred on December 2 at 7:35 p.m. on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Olesko, Zolochiv district
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Renault Premium truck, a 56-year-old resident of the city of Oleksandria, Kirovohrad region, collided with a Mercedes-Benz truck driven by a 38-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district.
Both drivers of the vehicles died at the scene from injuries received as a result of the accident.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
