Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Yavoriv district prosecutor’s office of the Lviv region, a 27-year-old resident of Vinnytsia was exposed and notified of suspicion. She is suspected of human trafficking (Part 1 of Article 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect recruited women for prostitution in the Kingdom of Sweden.
The model was looking for young girls with an attractive appearance who found themselves in difficult life circumstances. She offered them a profitable income from behind the codon. At the same time, she promised to help in preparing documents for departure, pay for travel and provide accommodation in another country.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, during passport control.
Investigations are ongoing. The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the detainee is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region under the operational support of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
