The traffic accident occurred on August 7, around 08:30, on the highway “Kyiv-Chop” in the village of Pisochna, Stryi district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a DAF truck driven by a 35-year-old resident of Strya and a Renault Megane car driven by a 33-year-old resident of Mykolaiv.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 2 of the Stryi district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
