Under the procedural guidance of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office, a 36-year-old man was notified of suspicion for threatening to kill law enforcement officers in connection with their performance of official duties (Part 1 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in March of this year, in one of the villages of the Lviv district, law enforcement officers came to the yard of a local resident to perform their official duties. The purpose of the visit was to fulfill the court’s sentence, which sentenced the suspect to imprisonment.

Realizing the reason for the visit, the suspect took out a grenade from the closet and began threatening the police officers that he would blow it up and kill everyone. At the same time, he demanded from the law enforcement officers that they leave his farm.

After that, the suspect started running away from the law enforcement officers, got into a car and headed towards a nearby village, where he was later found and detained by police officers.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of police department No. 2 of Lviv district police department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
