According to the National Police, at the request of the National Police investigators, the 18-year-old suspect will be held in custody for 60 days without the possibility of bail during the pre-trial investigation.
As a reminder, the tragic event took place on July 19 at about 19:30 on a street in Lviv.

Today, on July 26, the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv granted the investigators’ request and imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail.
On July 21, the police announced the search for a man who may be involved in the murder of Iryna Farion.
According to the National Police, the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion was probably preparing to commit other crimes. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko during a briefing in Lviv.
Law enforcement officers are currently analyzing and studying the content of the materials seized from the suspect’s phone. In particular, these are screenshots of correspondence, search queries on the activities of local authorities and specific individuals.
During the search for the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion, police analysts identified and worked out more than 80 people who resemble the suspect based on the photographs.
