Drug Dealers Detained in Lviv
Police in Lviv have charged ‘dealers’ of PVP with suspicion. The criminals – a man and his partner – received ‘master clads’ with the psychotropic agent and later made so-called ‘stashes’ in different areas of Lviv. They face punishment of up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
Detention on Vynnytsia Street
On March 10, while on duty on Vynnytsia Street in Lviv, patrol police stopped a Peugeot 207 with two individuals inside. During the check, law enforcement officers discovered bundles containing a substance resembling the psychotropic drug PVP.
A police investigative group from Police Department #1 of the Lviv District Police Department #1 worked at the scene. Police discovered and seized a total of 88 bundles of psychotropics from the 31-year-old driver and her 33-year-old partner, some of which they had already managed to stash.
Further Actions by Law Enforcement
The suspects were detained according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and all seized items were sent for expert examination at the Lviv Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. It was also established that the detainees received ‘master clads’ and subsequently made so-called ‘stashes’ in various areas of Lviv.
Under the procedural guidance of the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, they were charged with a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article is up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
Pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and soon the court will select preventive measures for the suspects.
