Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, residents of the region were notified of the suspicion and an indictment was sent to the court against a resident of Lviv on the facts of the distribution of materials containing justification, recognition as legitimate and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 436-2 Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, pro-Russian women on their personal pages in the banned Odnoklassniki social network published posts with expressions that denied the facts of the murders of the civilian population of Ukraine by Russian servicemen and the commission of other war crimes by them on the territory of our state. In their posts, they recognized as legitimate the armed invasion of the Russian Federation on the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation of the resident of Lviv region continues, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by the SBU Office in Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
