The Zhydachiv District Court of the Lviv Region opened proceedings on two lawsuits filed by the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office against an individual. Prosecutors demand the termination of the land lease agreement and the return of land plots worth more than UAH 361 million.
Prosecutors established that the defendant entered into a lease agreement with the former village council for land plots with a total area of almost 113 hectares. This plot of land is located on the territory of one of the villages of Stryi district.
According to the terms of the contract, it was to be used as a pasture. However, an individual plowed the land, planted corn and used it as arable land. At the same time, paying a much lower rent as for pasture.
This became the basis for the prosecutor’s office to file a lawsuit in court.
The trial is ongoing.
