Former MP Iryna Farion was shot by the man wanted by the police. The investigation has the testimony of several witnesses to the murder.
“The killer had been preparing for the crime for a long time, about a month. This is not a person who picked up a weapon for the first time. We are convinced that it was the man who was wanted. There are witnesses who saw that it was him. We do not rule out that he had accomplices and that it was a contract killing,” Ukrinform reported, citing a law enforcement source.
As a reminder, on 22 July, several thousand people said goodbye to Iryna Farion at Lychakiv Cemetery.
It is specified that the man, who is currently wanted by the police, was dressed in camouflage clothes, wore glasses and a hat and came every day, starting from 11 July, to Farion’s yard, where he sat near the neighbouring entrance.
The suspect stood out because it was hot in Lviv those days, and he spent hours in the sun in warm clothes without water. He would leave his place of residence only for a few hours at lunchtime. Sometimes he carried a purse with him. Police believe that the suspect was hiding weapons in it.
To recap, witnesses say that the alleged killer had been waiting for Farion in her yard for over a week. Although earlier, the Lviv regional police denied the information about the man’s involvement in the murder of Iryna Farion, whose photo was circulated on social media
