We remind you that under the conditions of martial law, the maximum punishment is provided for theft, robbery, robbery, extortion and looting.
On December 17, around 6:00 p.m., the police received a report about the theft of an electric generator from a pharmacy on Hrushevsky Street in the city of Drohobych.
An investigative-operational group and employees of other services of the Drohobytsky district police department worked at the scene of the incident. As a result of operative and search measures and after studying the recordings from the video surveillance cameras, the operatives of the criminal police established that a 37-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Sambir district was involved in the theft.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The law enforcement officers also discovered and seized physical evidence from him.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Drohobytsk District Prosecutor’s Office, informed the detainee of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
