Under the procedural leadership of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a group of persons was exposed who were engaged in the sale of contraband excise goods (Part 1 of Article 199, Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, three local residents were engaged in the illegal sale of contraband electronic cigarettes through Telegram channels, as well as through wholesale and retail stores.
During searches of private warehouses located in the territory of the Lviv district, more than 47 thousand electronic cigarettes of a well-known foreign brand with a total value of more than UAH 15 million were discovered and seized.
Investigations are ongoing. The issue of appointing a number of examinations and notification of suspicion to members of a criminal group is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by detectives of the Teru-Management of the BEB of the Lviv Region based on the materials of the SBU Office in the Lviv Region.
