In Lviv, two soldiers of the Russian Federation who tortured residents of the Buchan district were sentenced to 12 years behind bars.

According to the public prosecution of juvenile prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, in the order of a special trial, 31- and 36-year-old servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces from the Republic of Buryatia were found guilty of violating the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). They were sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Prosecutors proved in court that at the beginning of March 2022, servicemen of the 5th separate tank brigade of the Russian Armed Forces – military unit 46108, while in the village of Buzovy, Buchansky district, Kyiv region, brutalized the local population, among whom were women and children.

Russian soldiers broke into a private house and, at gunpoint, beat and tortured four local men in front of women and minor children who were threatened with the use of weapons.

After insults and threats, the convicts seized money and valuables belonging to the victims.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the SBU Office in the Lviv region.

For every crime committed in Ukraine, the occupiers will suffer a just punishment!
