A domestic conflict arose between the men, during which the guest first hit the owner on the head with a stool, and then several blows with a kitchen knife to different parts of the body. The doctors managed to save the injured man’s life.
As determined by operatives of the criminal police and investigators of police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1, on November 5 around 00:30 in the apartment of one of the buildings on Grinchenko Street, an argument arose between the 57-year-old owner of the apartment and his 35-year-old guest, who temporarily lives in Lviv a dispute that later turned into a conflict.
First, the guest hit the host on the head with a stool, and then several blows with a kitchen knife to different parts of the body, causing serious injuries. At the same time, the men were intoxicated.
Seeing what he had done, the intruder called the 103 service, and emergency medical doctors reported the incident to the police. Thanks to the skill of the doctors who performed the emergency operation, the injured man managed to save his life.
The law enforcement officers detained the attacker in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the investigators of the territorial division of the police informed him of the suspicion of committing a crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 15 – Part 1 of Article 115 (Attempt to Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
