For the crime committed, the detainee is liable to imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
On December 4, around 3:30 p.m., the 102 hotline received a report from a 57-year-old woman from Lviv that, upon arriving at her home – an apartment located in one of the buildings on Avraham Lincoln Street, she found her neighbor with a stab wound in the chest. Later, the victim died from her injuries.
An investigative and operative group, operatives of the criminal police and employees of other services of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 worked at the scene of the incident. As the law enforcement officers established, the victim was stabbed by her neighbor – the 54-year-old owner of the apartment, the applicant’s husband, while drinking alcohol.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for him.
The issue of notifying the detainee of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 115 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is also being resolved. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
