The traffic accident happened on December 5, around 12:00, on Studentska Street in Lviv.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Skoda Superb, a 40-year-old resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, hit a pedestrian, a 65-year-old local woman.
As a result of the accident, the woman received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
