Following a public indictment by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Frankivskyi District Court of Lviv found the woman from Lviv guilty of disseminating materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014 (Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code). She was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment, with a probationary period of 1 year.
Prosecutors proved in court that in 2022, the convict – a Russian woman with a Ukrainian passport – on her personal page on the Odnoklassniki network repeatedly distributed publications of other members of this network, united in the group “Russian Peace for Putin!”.
In particular, the defendant distributed materials approving the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as glorifying the persons directly responsible for this aggression.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the SBU Office in the Lviv region.
