The State Border Guard Service effectively uses the database of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol. In particular, yesterday, servicemen of the Lviv detachment discovered a stolen car.
A resident of Ternopil was traveling to a neighboring country in a Mercedes minibus. During the border control, the database was activated. As the border guards found out, the vehicle was stolen in France in November last year. The border guards also established that the Ukrainian-registered car entered Ukraine before the search for it began.
Based on this fact, the servicemen immediately informed the Ukrburo of Interpol in Kyiv and received confirmation of the information about the car.
In the end, the 2018 vehicle and the driver left the checkpoint together with the National Police.
