On December 19 at 5:00 PM, a traffic accident occurred on Halytska Street in the city of Przemysliany, Lviv District.
According to preliminary police reports, a Chevrolet Aveo driven by a 54-year-old resident of Lviv struck a 10-year-old local pedestrian.
The boy sustained injuries and was hospitalized for medical care.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of Road Traffic Safety Rules). The maximum penalty under this article includes up to three years of restricted freedom and a three-year driving ban.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
