Under the procedural leadership of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 42-year-old resident of Stryi region. He is accused of arbitrary occupation of a plot of land and arbitrary construction (Part 4 of Article 197-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation established that in 2017, the accused, without the appropriate permits of the local self-government body, arbitrarily seized a plot of land in the village of Slavske
The latter is located within the coastal protection zone of the Slavka River and is a nature conservation area.
Later, the man illegally built a building there from wooden beams and dug an artificial reservoir – a swimming pool for recreation.
For reference, we note that in order to protect the interests of the state and restore the rights of the residents of Slavska Territorial Community, the prosecutors filed a lawsuit for the release of the above-mentioned land plot of the water fund by dismantling the wooden house.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of police department No. 3 of the Stryi district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
