Following a public prosecution by the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 31-year-old man with a previous conviction was found guilty. He was convicted on the facts of illegal sale of narcotic drugs (Part 1, 2 Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The court sentenced him to 6 years, 6 months and 20 days of imprisonment with confiscation of all his property.
Prosecutors proved in court that a resident of Kherson region, who is serving a sentence in one of the colonies in Lviv region, was selling drugs among the arrested.
To do this, the convict looked for “clients” in prison. After that, he transferred prohibited drugs, namely cannabis and buprenorphine, directly from hand to hand. The prices for the “goods” were pre-set. He accepted payment in cash;
At the court hearing, the convicted person did not admit his guilt in the charged crime.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region.
The court’s verdict comes into force after the expiry of the appeal period.
