Lviv OVA, BF “Together for Ukraine” and the command of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a project that promotes the organization of mobile baths and laundry complexes for the military.

The initiative consists in creating modern mobile bathhouses for defenders who, being on the front lines, will be able to take a warm shower and wash their clothes. According to the results of the project, the first such complex will go to the soldiers of the 103rd separate brigade of the Terrodefense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces today.

“Last year, we started a project between several foundations, with which we jointly decided to raise funds for a bath and laundry complex for our soldiers. In order to popularize the project, together with hospitality establishments of Lviv Oblast and Prykarpattia, we organized a recreation raffle. Each participant made a donation. In the first two weeks, we managed to collect 70 thousand hryvnias. Every day, this amount grew and in the end it was possible to manufacture a mobile bath and laundry complex. We are grateful to all the partners and hotels that promptly joined the project and showed a high level of their social responsibility and synergy between the government, the public and business,” said Oleksandr Kulepin, deputy head of the Lviv OVA for digital development, digital transformations and digitalization (CDTO).

This complex with an intelligent control system and a heat-resistant body, covered with a ballistic coating, will allow serving 40-50 people per day and will create more comfortable conditions for being on the front line. Inside there are two washing machines and two dryers, a hand washer, and a mobile shower.

“Our foundation provided assistance to the Armed Forces in the amount of more than 45 million dollars. These are more than 740 military units, more than 5,000 supplies, means of tactical medicine, communications, and food. Now the guys from the territorial defense will be able to get a bath and laundry complex. This is already the 12th complex provided by our foundation. Such complexes have been transferred to the most important areas – Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Mykolaiv”, – the head of the “RAZOM Heroous” program of the “Razom For Ukraine” BF Taras Gatalyak.

The complex has no analogues. The trailer, which can transport an ordinary pickup, was equipped with diesel generators, autonomous heaters, boilers for 600 liters of hot water, and charging stations. Its cost is about 1.5 million hryvnias. An intelligent management system was installed in the complex.

“The frontline is a place of constant movement, and as a result of fatigue. Our military needs moments when it is possible to return to the usual everyday tasks for everyone – rest, take a hot shower, wash and dry things. Therefore, this complex is very necessary. We are grateful to Lviv OVA for constant support, because we are a new brigade in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and as of February 24, we did not have a very strong staffing. That is why we are grateful for every transfer of equipment, transport and ammunition”, – shared Ostap Gadach, a serviceman of the 103rd brigade of the TRO Forces.

With the support of the Tourism and Resorts Department of Lviv OVA, the most popular hotel complexes joined the initiative: “Bear Tower”, Rixos–Prykarpattya, Grand Hotel Lviv, TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa, BANKHOTEL, TaurusCity and Yaremche Club Hotel.

“Together for Ukraine” BF established cooperation with manufacturers of mobile bath and laundry complexes. It was he who provided the lion’s share of funds for the project. The Kvyatkovsky Family Foundation and everyone who participated in the raffle from the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Lviv Oblast and donated 140 hryvnias also contributed financially.
