“Lviv region is the first region where IDP payments from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange have started”, – Maksym Kozytskyi

The peculiarity of this financial assistance is that it is accrued to the cryptocurrency. From there it must be transferred to a bank card. The Palyanytsia charity initiative helps these people.

To help IDPs who have found refuge in the Lviv region, the Binance Charity Foundation from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange has joined forces with the Palyanytsia charity initiative. In cooperation with the foundation and the charity initiative, they created the Binance Refugee Card, which provides payments to support the most vulnerable people affected by the war. Under it, IDPs receive $ 75 per person per month for three months. Funded by Binance Charity.

“Lviv region is the first region in Ukraine to start paying IDPs from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. It is our region that has received the largest number of migrants, so attracting financial support from international organizations is important for us. Under this program of payments within Lviv has already covered more than a thousand people, in the future we will expand the initiative in major cities of Lviv region. Thank you to the foreign partners who trust our administration to coordinate these processes. It is a symbol of trust in us as a body of power, “said Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

The peculiarity of this financial assistance is that it is accrued to the cryptocurrency. From there it must be transferred to a bank card. The Palyanytsia charity initiative helps these people. The co-founder of this initiative, Anton Koshelev, spoke about how the idea of launching such a payment program came about.

“The Binance refugee card was first created for refugees from Ukraine who fled the war outside the country, but I suggested that cryptocurrencies raise funds to pay internally displaced persons within the Lviv region. They set aside $ 1.2 million to pay 5,000 IDPs. This program is designed exclusively for women with children, people with disabilities and the elderly. To receive such a payment, you need to have a certificate of IDPs, identification documents and register for further payments through the application. We help people to make such registration on the spot and during the week all registered people receive funds, ”Anton Koshelev explained.

In this initiative, Lviv OVA helps to find and report such categories of people.

We will add, since February 24 Binance Charity has collected more than 10 million dollars for the help to our citizens, and “Palyanitsa” – more than 2 million.
