The Farmer’s Fair will open on Rynok Square in Lviv

In June, the Lviv Farmers’ Fair returns to Rynok Square. Every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lviv residents will have the opportunity to buy goods directly from manufacturers.

This year, there will be an information point at the fair, where buyers will be told about farmers, maps of tourist routes will be shown, they will be offered to join farm tours or get cookbooks with farm recipes. A craft workshop will also open for the first time, where visitors will be able to taste products, attend cooking workshops, lectures by nutritionists and nutritionists.

Entrepreneurs who want to join the fair must fill out a registration form.

For the fifth year in a row, every Saturday during the summer, two dozen farmers will sell their products on Rynok Square. 90% of the producers at the fair are family business owners who have the opportunity to sell and popularize craft products of their own production. The fair gathers 90,000 visitors during the season.

“Our mission is to develop a culture of healthy eating and popularize organic products among Lviv residents and guests of the city. We continue the tradition of fairs, because nowadays in this difficult time we have to support Ukrainian manufacturers,” said Tetyana Habibrahmanova, head of the external relations and promotion department of the Lviv City Council.

As a reminder, in 2019, the old tradition of holding a farmer’s fair was restored on Rynok Square in Lviv. In the 1930s, the oldest and most popular market was around the City Hall.
