Pension for family members in the event of the loss of a serviceman-supporter: informs the Lviv OTCC and SP

According to the Law “On pension provision for persons released from military service and certain other persons”, the parents and spouse (husband) of a breadwinner who died while performing official duties have the right to a pension.

Requirement for receiving a pension: not earlier than 55 years of age, regardless of length of insurance experience.

The Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Staffing and Social Support informs about this.

The size of the pension payment: 70% of the salary of the deceased breadwinner to family members and a child* (but not less than UAH 7,800). If there are two or more children in the family – 50% for each child (but not less than UAH 6,100).

This category is also entitled to a pension if they are entitled to:

– pension regardless of age;

– early retirement pension;

– old age pension on preferential terms;

– a pension with a reduction of the retirement age in accordance with the law, or are persons with disabilities.

In the event of the death of a serviceman, which is not related to the performance of official duties, the right to receive pension payments are:

– parents and spouse (husband) of the breadwinner.

The condition for receiving a pension: they have reached the age of 60, regardless of whether they have insurance experience, or are persons with disabilities.

The size of the pension payment: 30% of the salary of the deceased for each family member.

Regardless of the cause of the breadwinner’s death, the minimum (2 subsistence minimums for disabled persons) and maximum (10 subsistence minimums for disabled persons) pension amounts in the event of the loss of a breadwinner are applied to each disabled family member separately.
