Andriy Godyk, the first deputy head of Lviv OVA, met with the trade advisers of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ukraine.
Turkish companies consider Lviv Region an attractive region for investment, so they are currently studying the domestic market and the offers that our region is ready to offer.
“Despite the martial law, we must think about the future. One of the elements of the solid reconstruction of Ukraine after our victory is the economy. Therefore, now we have to work on its development. Even before the beginning of the full-scale war, Lviv region was always attractive for investment for domestic and foreign investors. Now we have become a humanitarian and logistical center for the entire country. Your visit today is proof that Ukraine is of interest to Turkey not only politically, but also economically,” Andriy Godyk emphasized.
The First Deputy introduced the representatives of the Embassy to the catalog “Export Potential of Lviv Oblast”, designed to increase the recognition and competitiveness of enterprises of the region on international markets. The catalog is bilingual, so it easily allows Ukrainian and foreign investors to familiarize themselves with the offers that exist in the Lviv region, with enterprises.
This year, 300 Lviv Oblast enterprises from various industries were presented on the pages of the publication: construction, woodworking, light, machine-building, furniture, metalworking, printing, food, and chemical industries. “Our country is following the events in Ukraine, we would like to express our condolences for the disaster at the Kakhovskaya HPP. For our part, we are ready to support the economy of Ukraine, to work together on various projects in many fields. At the same time, we will encourage Turkish companies to invest in Ukraine, especially since Turkey already has experience of cooperation with your country. The most striking example is the ONUR GROUP construction company. We studied the internal market of the western regions and realized that Lviv Region has great potential. The most valuable thing is human capital. The people here are educated, they know their business, and there are no problems with logistics,” said Ibrahim Aykut Araz, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ukraine.
The director of the economic policy department, Stepan Kuybida, assured the Turkish side that Lviv Oblast is ready to provide investment proposals, introduce Turkish companies to local entrepreneurs, and provide support for the project from idea to implementation.
By the way, 243 enterprises with Turkish investments are registered on the territory of Lviv region. Most of the companies represent the sector of wholesale and retail trade and the restaurant business. One of the leading companies is ONUR GROUP.
