The area near the street. The Hlynianskyi tract was leveled and prepared for the construction of houses for the temporary stay of pregnant Ukrainian women fleeing the war. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Lviv for Urban Development Lubomyr Zubach.
“Since this will be temporary housing, the foundation is not provided for in the project, only the so-called geoscrews. They are actively installed. Then – the actual installation of houses.
A little about the project. In fact, there were many options, the Department of Urban Development analyzed them together. But stopped at wooden structures and increased comfort for pregnant women. As a result, they refused to take the finished building, but decided to hire an architect and form an individual approach. The site was found, and the Lviv architectural bureau Sulykarchitects adapted the project to the selected area, “said Lubomyr Zubach on his Facebook page.
It will be recalled that on May 3, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Lviv City Council on the construction of temporary accommodation for pregnant women who left the battlefields for Lviv. According to Mayor Andriy Sadovy, the project is planned to be implemented by mid-July. The amount of investment in construction is UAH 26 million.
“This is no longer modular housing. Another format is as a designer of individual parts, which will be assembled and assembled on site. The result is two wooden houses on one and a half floors for a maximum of 120 people. The project provides slightly more comfortable conditions than in modular towns. There will be separate bedrooms and bathrooms for expectant mothers. But for relaxation and cooking spaces will be common.
The Society of the Red Cross of Ukraine has agreed to finance the arrangement of temporary housing in this location. The organization will finance this project, as they say, on a turnkey basis. It will not be just the walls, but everything – from the facade to the furniture and the necessary plumbing.
