Monitoring was carried out at 23 approved observation points.
In February, the basin management of water resources of the Western Bug and Syan rivers conducted another monitoring of surface water quality within the Ukrainian part of the Vistula river basin.
Monitoring was carried out at 23 approved observation points, namely at 17 sites of the Western Bug sub-basin and 6 of the Xiangu sub-basin.
According to the results of the analysis, high concentrations of physico-chemical and chemical indicators of water quality were found:
in the Poltva River – by the content of dissolved oxygen, organic, biogenic substances, SPAR, halogenated hydrocarbons, heavy metals, pesticides, etc.;
in the Western Bug River below the mouth of the Poltva River – by the content of organic and biogenic substances;
in the Marunka River below the town of Vinnyki – in terms of the content of organic and biogenic substances;
in the river Svinya below the city of Zhovkva – in terms of the content of organic and biogenic substances;
in the Malekhivka River (Malekhiv village) – by the content of organic and biogenic substances.
According to the obtained monitoring results, compared to the previous reporting period (January 2023), water quality improved in the “R. Western Bug – the city of Busk”, in other points the situation has not changed significantly.
