The third batch of humanitarian aid collected for Ukraine within the framework of the German initiative “Water4Ukraine” arrived in Lviv. In particular, employees of German water utilities brought five cars and technical equipment. Everything will be handed over to water utilities of Ukraine, affected by the war, in order to improve their operational activities.
“For four days, our German colleagues transported across the border five cars and technical equipment necessary for establishing the operational work of water utilities of Ukraine. Note that the people transporting the equipment are ordinary employees of German water utilities. They spend their free time to help us. We sincerely thank the German people and everyone involved in “Water4Ukraine” for their initiative and concern for our problems,” Lvivvodokanal LMKP noted.
To date, within the framework of the “Water4Ukraine” initiative, 10 pieces of equipment have already been delivered for Ukrainian water utilities. Lvivvodokanal became the coordination center for receiving such humanitarian aid. The company directs it to those cities that have suffered the most and need urgent help to restore the supply of drinking water.
We will remind you that the “Water4Ukraine” initiative helps Ukraine’s water utilities to function during the war. The initiative was launched by the head of the corporate communications and strategic marketing department of the private company of the United Municipal Services of the city of Wuppertal, Elmar Tien. This initiative is also supported by the Association of German Utilities and the German Ministry of Economy and Finance. They collect funds, look for donors and transfer the necessary equipment.
