From January to November 2023, there were 1,863 car accidents with victims on the roads of Lviv Oblast. 2,439 citizens were injured in them and 207 people, unfortunately, died.
The main causes of traffic accidents that occurred during the specified period are:
- exceeding the safe speed, which is 31% of the total number of road accidents with victims;
- violation of maneuvering rules, which is 22% of the total number of road accidents with victims;
- failure to maintain the distance, which is 10% of the total number of road accidents with victims.
Dear drivers, now you should be twice as careful in the winter, because the visibility becomes worse and the temperature drop creates ice!
