The flag was raised today, October 12.
“As a sign of support for the people of Israel, we raised the flag of the State of Israel in front of Lviv OVA. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi plans to visit Israel and called on the leaders of the world community to do the same. Such visits would demonstrate international support and solidarity in the fight against terrorists. Everyone should unite against the evil that exists in different parts of the world”, – assured the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
The flag of Israel consists of a white background on which are two horizontal blue ribbons, together with the Star of David (Shield of David) in the middle. The flag was officially recognized as the flag of the State of Israel on October 28, 1948. The Star of David represents the Jewish identity of Israel, as well as the culture and history of the Israelis.
Now Israel, like Ukraine, is forced to protect itself and its people from terrorist aggression.
