During the past day, the emergency workers of the Lviv Oblast eliminated 8 dry grass fires. As a result of these fires, the fire destroyed more than 4,000 square meters of land.
9 units of special equipment and 35 personnel were involved in the liquidation of dry land occupations.
In such a difficult time, in the conditions of martial law, deliberately destroying Ukraine, burning your land with dry grass is a CRIME!
According to the Lviv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine:
• on the territory of the Lviv region: on May 12-13, mainly high (class 4) and extreme (class 5) fire danger. May 14-15, mostly extreme (5th class) fire danger.
• in the city of Lviv: May 12-13 high (4th class), May 14-15 extreme (5th class) fire danger.
The head office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region warns that under such conditions, dry grass can take over in a matter of seconds, even from a kindling left behind.
Therefore, we urge citizens to be extremely careful with fire in open areas, as well as when cleaning homesteads.
In addition, setting fire to dry grass is punishable by law in the form of a fine:
❗️ for citizens from UAH 3,060 to UAH 6,120
❗️ for officials from UAH 15,300 to UAH 21,420
The head office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region appeals to all residents of our region to stop burning dry matter, and remember, if you see arson, immediately notify the fire service and the police, regardless of the fact that the person who burned is your neighbor or acquaintance!
We believe that only together, we will be able to reduce the number of fires in natural ecosystems. We know, together we are STRENGTH!
