Lviv district: rescuers and law enforcement officers eliminate the consequences of a strong gust of wind that knocked down trees on the roads
On 20 June, at 02:52, rescuers received a report of an incident in the village of Volia-Vysotska, Lviv district. A strong gust of wind knocked down a tree on the Lviv-Rava-Ruska road, obstructing traffic and partially falling on a Renault Trafic.
The fire and rescue department of the 17th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Zhovkva and employees of the local fire brigade from Dobrosyn village cut the tree and removed it from the roadway. They also used a cable to pull the car away, which allowed traffic to resume.
On the same day, at 04:05, rescuers received another report of the effects of the storm in the village of Synkovychi, Lviv district. Strong winds knocked down a tree on the local road “Rava-Ruska-Velyki Mosty”, which also hampered traffic.
Employees of the local fire brigade in the village of Hiyche, together with police officers, quickly organised the cutting of the tree and its removal from the roadway.
