Today, October 15, a fair of social enterprises was held for the first time in Lviv on Museum Square, near the Dominican Cathedral. More than ten social enterprises of the Lviv City Territorial Community presented their products to Lviv residents and guests of the city. The organizer of the fair, the first in Ukraine, is the West Ukrainian Cluster of Social Enterprises.
“Such a fair was held for the first time, but we will be planning the next one from Monday. The fair is designed to scale social entrepreneurship in the Lviv urban territorial community and encourage people to open social enterprises.
It is nice that, despite the rain, it was visited by many Lviv residents and guests of the city,” said Anna Chuba, deputy head of the Center for Entrepreneurship Support of the Lviv City Council.
At the first fair of social enterprises, there was tea, handmade products: various brooches, jewelry, dolls, drawings and puzzles. There were stained glass windows and microgreens from school social enterprises. Children with mental disorders sold cookies of their own production.
Also at the fair were women who are cared for by “VONA hub” and the “Nut House” foundation. They presented products of their own production.
“Our main goal is to acquaint residents and visitors with social enterprises, their activities, products and products in order to popularize their work and also to popularize social entrepreneurship itself both in Lviv and in Ukraine in general. Today, this is a great mission that we all must support,” said Roman Minevich, Acting Director. head of the Western Ukrainian cluster of social enterprises.
