Training classes “Addictions destroy our dreams” are ongoing in the Lviv city center of social services. The prevention team of the center developed a series of trainings to prevent the emergence of alcohol and tobacco addiction among teenagers. More than 600 students have already attended such classes.
Preventive classes are mostly attended by middle and high school students.
“During the class, the participants consider the types of addictions and why they are formed in people, discuss various facts and myths related to this. Also, each of the participants has the opportunity to try on their own experience to set priorities and give up something important, as it happens in the lives of people with addiction. Such classes allow participants to consider the consequences of their actions and be more conscious of their own choices,” the social services center said.
Classes take place on a regular basis (upon request from educational institutions). Since January 2023, the center’s specialists have conducted 47 classes. During this time, more than 600 students attended the trainings.
