The Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration in cooperation with the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies of IPPO NU LP has started work on a distance school for students of 7-11 grades. The school should start working in 10 days. During this time, educators with experience with the Moodle platform will fill it with emergency learning materials for the first week of study.
Today there was an information meeting for teachers-volunteers of the distance school, which outlined the key points of the organization of training, the basic algorithm of action of each.
“In a situation of war in the country, our main task is to enable children to continue their education. We must do everything to organize the educational process, even in a distance format, to make it safe for each participant,” said Director of Education Oleg Paska. .
According to project coordinator Margarita Noskova, Moodle allows students to work via smartphone and complete tasks even without the Internet.
“We have a difficult task ahead of us. We have to organize the work of a distance school in a very short time. What it takes 3-4 months in peacetime, we have to do in 10 days. There is a lot of work ahead. All teachers who volunteered for the project , we have experience of working on the platform. We see the interest of other teachers, so the team of teachers will grow. This will allow you to quickly fill the platform and check the tasks, “said Margarita Noskova.
The training is planned to cover all children who will need it: children of Lviv region, migrants and all those who are currently abroad.
All schools in the region will be divided among teachers, and the process will be coordinated by the Department of Education and the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies.
