In 2022, the event will take place for the eighth time and will be held offline, from December 5 to 16, for 8th grade students. The Department of Information Technologies and MakerSpace Lviv invite mentors to conduct a computer science lesson for schoolchildren of the Lviv community.
Traditionally, in December during the Informatics Week, Hour of Code will be held in Lviv – a global initiative to popularize programming among schoolchildren. In 2022, the initiative will last two weeks in the Lviv community.
Volunteers can become Hour of Code mentors and conduct a computer science lesson for 8th grade students. Mentors can be representatives of the IT field (business analysts, programmers, testers, project managers, HR, recruiters, etc.) who want to tell schoolchildren about their profession and the advantages of information technologies.
Also this year, the schools of the settlements that are part of the Lviv City Territorial Community will join the Hour of Code for the second time.
