On March 9, Lviv honored the memory of the world-famous Ukrainian artist, poet, painter, and public figure.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, in particular, the Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Andriy Godyk, representatives of regional and city authorities, the public, soldiers, students of the Lviv College of Culture and Arts and the Lviv S. Liudkevych Professional Music College.
The attendees laid flowers at the monument to Kobzar accompanied by Shevchenko’s works “Testament,” “The Dnipro roars and groans…” and “My Thoughts,” performed by the chapel choirs.
The participants of the event also had the opportunity to hear other works by Taras Shevchenko performed by the State Honored Academic Chapel of Ukraine “Trembita”, Lviv Choral Chapel “Dudaryk”, Galician Academic Chamber Choir, Galician Chamber Choir “Evshan” and student choirs of the Lviv Professional College of Culture and Arts and Lviv Professional Music College named after S. Lyudkevych.
