On this day, in 1912, plastuns swore allegiance to God and Ukraine in Lviv.
As noted by the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, since that time, members of the scout movement at different times and under different conditions kept the oath and lived by the Plast Law. Whether it was during the war, or in the underground, or abroad, they did not back down in their defense and efforts for the formation of our state. They raised conscious youth, instilled love for Ukraine and the desire to take responsibility and create positive changes.
When full-scale war broke out, the plastun community predictably mobilized efforts to defend Ukraine and help those in need.
“Homage to all soldiers who are now on the front lines protecting our country. Eternal memory to all those who gave the most valuable in the struggle. We thank those who purchase cars, drones, other equipment, ammunition, first-aid kits for platoon soldiers, deliver food kits to civilians, attract donors to support the country. We thank all plastuns for your contribution to the approaching victory of our state and for the fact that you are creating the society of the future from an early age,” the head of the region emphasized.
