The Drohobych City Council held a working meeting to discuss the situation surrounding Stebnytsia Polymineral’s debt to Lvivoblenergo and the possible power outage.
The meeting was held in the Drohobych City Council chamber and was chaired by Vasyl Kachmar, Deputy Mayor for Utilities. The meeting was attended by Stebnyk starosta Taras Horodysky, advisor to the mayor Rostyslav Poshyvak, representatives of Lvivoblenergo, representatives of Stebnyk Polymineral, and entrepreneurs – individuals and legal entities that are powered by the Stebnyk Polymineral substation.
Once a powerful and strategically important enterprise for the region, Stebnytsia Polymineral has already received a warning from Lvivoblenergo about the termination of electricity supply due to existing debts.
The company’s substation supplies power to 15 legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who pay for the services they consume. However, all of them have become hostages to the current situation and may also be left without electricity.
Therefore, the city council cannot stay away from the problem. An official letter is being prepared to Lvivoblenergo with a request not to cut off electricity supply and to explain the situation. Meanwhile, we are looking for ways to solve the problem and support entrepreneurs who have become hostage to other people’s debts.
